Thank you for sharing your life. I’m in an unhappy marriage, love my wife and daughter, but hate the fights we are always getting in to. I sometimes just wish I could walk away, but don’t want to lose my daughter.

BPD more modern name is emotionally unstable personality disorder. I am currently up to March 2007 in your story and she seems to match a lot of the behaviour traits. I have pointed you blog out to a forum for people married to people with this disorder. Your experience with your ex will be familiar to many in that forum. Affairs are quite common as well as spending sprees. My wife who I separated from last year did not have an affair (although she tried at least once) but put us in financial problems.

Hi. No, I don’t know if she has been diagnosed with BPD or anything else.

Hi, she sounds like my wife before we separated last year. My wife is mentally ill with Borderline personality disorder. Do you know if kat has been diagnosed with BPD or Bipolar (which is similar to BPD) since you broke up ?

I just had to make a comment about this idea. I think nearly all parents dream up this idea of a fixed sum of pocket money & then encouraging good behaviour by deducting from it. Ha. ha !

I did (& and am still trying to do it with my 13 year old son) But it always turns into a morass.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say.

I cannot write what I intended right now becauyse the little blighter is peering over my shoulder at what I’ writing.

Aaaaaagh !!!
