The secret diary of a single parent bloke

2Jody was really struggling to get a babysitter for her two year old son, so I suggested going for a day out instead- with all of the kids! We came up with the idea of going to the aquarium.
I got there about three hours early, and spent some time in the city with Natalia and Jack. When it got near to the time to meet, I headed over to the aquarium entrance. I was so nervous! I’d told the kids that we were meeting a friend, and they were asking questions about her- questions I couldn’t answer.
After what seemed like an eternity, I spotted Jody. Even though I knew what she looked like, she looked far better than her profile photo. She was stunning. I went over to her, said hello and introduced Natalia and Jack, and went off around the aquarium. I think that we each spoke to each other’s children more than each other. It was a very odd situation- I was desperate to talk to her, to find out more about her, but the only talk was about the aquarium or the children. Jack really took to Jody, and was holding her hand before long.
Afterwards, we spent some time chatting in the cafe. Despite the age differences (Natalia is 6, Jack is 4 and Jody’s son is 2) the three of them seemed to get on well, and that at least allowed Jody and I to finally talk a bit. When we finally parted, we agreed that we should see each other again soon. Hopefully without the children.
See, you can get away with saying that wasn’t a date, because the children were there.
Good luck
That sounds like my perfect date as I would be so nervous
