The secret diary of a single parent bloke

Dating- adults only.

Sunday, September 18th, 2005.

I’ve my first “proper” date with Jody (we both managed to get babysitters), and it went really well. So well, in fact, that we had another date the following night too. We went out to a pub and then a restaurant, and chatted for ages. She’s lovely to talk to: smart, funny, articulate, and very very attractive.

Her marriage ended at about the same time as mine but, unlike me she, and their son had to leave the house- they were living in the Middle East and had to come back to the UK. And I thought that I had it bad!

Since I first met her last week, I’ve spent every minute thinking about her, and about tonight, so I’m over the moon at how well it went.

And I’m seeing her again next weekend too. For the first time in ages, life is good
